It’s when we match artists in your personal iTunes library with artists in our catalogue and create a playlist based on those matches. VEVO has the tech savvy, we just need your permission. It’s the second and final step in our registration process, so hurry up and create an account already!

Why should I sync my iTunes library with VEVO?

It’s pretty amazing to see that in 15 seconds (yeah, that’s all it takes) VEVO can match artists in your iTunes library with artists in VEVO’s video catalogue and then surface a playlist based on those matches. The best part, even we learned that some of our favorite niche artists have VEVO videos; it was super gratifying to discover. You have to try it and see how cool it is for yourself.

How do I update/personalize my Profile or change my Account Settings?

You can personalize your account by clicking on your user name in the upper right hand corner of any VEVO page to access a drop down menu where you can manage your Profile, change your account settings, and subscribe to VEVO’s newsletter.

How can I make my Profile private?

Making your views private is always 1-click away and possible in the top right corner, social on-off button, on any VEVO.com page.

How do I find my password if I can’t remember it?

How can I start watching videos at VEVO right away?

Now you’re talking! Head over to www.VEVO.com, search for your favorite music video, and let us do the rest. We’ll take you right to a video watch page, play your video, and populate a playlist based on your searched music video. All you need to do is sit back and enjoy.

What is the VEVO Player?

All videos play in the VEVO Player, an elegant, state-of-the-art video player enabling the highest quality video playback.

Is the VEVO Player embeddable?

Yes! The VEVO Player lets you embed single videos. Just click Share at the top of the Player. Under Embed, just click Copy code. With the exception of full screen playback, all the Player functionality of VEVO.com is available so you can easily share your favourite videos with your friends via Facebook, Twitter and more.

Can I select a list of videos to watch?

Of course! You can watch videos in sets – we call them playlists. VEVO is built on the playlist concept. Every video that you watch will be part of a playlist, if it’s not yours or your friend’s custom playlist, we’ll leverage our developers’ brains to build one for you, isn’t it nice when someone else does the hard work for once.

How do Suggested Videos work?

Music discovery is an integral part of VEVO. We offer you recommendations based on four inputs: 1) Social behavior – what you and your friends have watched, liked, and listened to. 2) VEVO recommendations – Based on your personal viewing history, we’ll recommend new videos we think you’ll enjoy. 3) Based on a wicked smart algorithm – VEVO works with a Boston based, music intelligence company called The Echo Nest to generate this input. 4) VEVO iTunes Sync – VEVO has the ability to match your iTunes artists with VEVO artists, it’s super cool so try it.

Creating and Using Playlists

What is a playlist?

Don’t worry, we know this one. You can watch videos in sets called playlists. Rather than clicking around one by one, you can load any VEVO playlist and enjoy watching multiple videos in a row. In fact, we like playlists so much that we decided to create VEVO around this concept, which puts every video you watch into a playlist. You can also search for playlists that include your friend’s playlists or VEVO editorial playlists. Finally, you can create and save your own personalized playlists.

What is the “My Playlists” feature in the left rail?

That is your personal playlist page. We added this feature so you have a single destination to manage all of your playlists.

How do I create playlists?

We made creating a playlist convenient. You can click the "+" next to "My Playlist" in the left rail, name your playlist, and then click the "save" button. You can also create a playlist by clicking "save" on the video watch page. Then simply search and add videos to you playlist using the "+" button on the video watch page.

How do I create a new Social and Synced Playlist?

Easy. Login to your account and go to http://www.vevo.com/account/playlists and click the create Social Playlist and Synced Playlist buttons. Click on the "

Can I delete my VEVO Recommends playlist?

You can’t, but man that would not be fun.
