President & Chief Executive Officer

Rio has led VEVO, the world’s leading all-premium music video and entertainment platform, since the company’s inception in 2009. In his extensive background before VEVO, Rio worked in new technologies across all areas of entertainment, including film, television, music and games, for such companies as Universal Music Group, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Fabric (a firm he co-founded), Sony 550 Digital Media Ventures, Sony Music Entertainment and Capitol Records Group.

Rio was featured in Vanity Fair's The Next Establishment (2012, 2010), Billboard’s The Power 100 (2013, 2012) and 40 Under 40 (2012), The Hollywood Reporter's Digital Power 50 (2012), Fortune’s 40 under 40 (2011, 2010, 2009), Fast Company’s 100 Most Creative People in Business (2011) and Evening Standard's London's Most Influential (2011). He was also named one of the top digital executives to watch in 2010 by both the LA Times and Digital Media Wire.

Chief Financial Officer

In his role as Chief Financial Officer, Alan Price oversees finance and operations at VEVO. Prior to joining VEVO, Alan was Senior Vice President, Finance and Operations for Sony Music Entertainment’s Columbia/Epic Label Group. Previously, Alan held numerous senior finance positions within SME, where his portfolio included U.S. labels Epic, Columbia, Sony Nashville, Sony Classical, Sony Wonder, Legacy, Loud Records and The Work Group. Prior to joining SME in 1991, Alan began his career as an auditor at Arthur Anderson LLP. He holds a BA in Economics and Government from Cornell University and an MBA in Finance from New York University. Price is a Certified Public Accountant in New York State.

Alexander Kisch

Senior Vice President, Business Development & Business Affairs

Alex Kisch is responsible for defining and developing VEVO’s global legal strategy, overseeing content acquisition, licensing, syndication and distribution efforts, as well as VEVO’s day-to-day legal affairs. Prior to VEVO, Alex was Vice President of Music Strategy at MTV Networks, where he worked to develop and expand MTVN’s global music initiatives across linear and VOD-TV and online and mobile platforms on a cross-brand basis. He also held posts within Business & Legal Affairs at Sony BMG and BMG Music. Prior to that, Alex represented numerous recording artists and independent record labels, as well as working as a recording artist/songwriter himself. Alex holds a BA from Vassar College and a JD from Boston University School of Law.

Michael Cerda

Michael Cerda

Senior Vice President, Product & Technology

Michael envisions and executes on VEVO products and its technology, having a long career in breaking ground for startups and bringing larger companies through major inflections. He was most recently VP of Technology at Myspace, as a result of a sale of Threadbox (fka Cc:Betty), where he was co-founder and CEO. Michael incubated the real-time messaging service as an entrepreneur-in-residence at Venrock. He also co-founded social communications company Jangl (sold to Live Universe 2008), where he was also CEO, and consumer VoIP service and device company, Ooma (privately held), where he served as the original CEO.

Michael earned his BS in Industrial Technology/Management from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo. He lives with his family in Alamo, California and enjoys playing music in Latin jazz ensemble El Desayuno.

Nic Jones

Nic Jones

Senior Vice President, International

Based in VEVO's London office, Nic oversees VEVO's global strategy and is responsible for its International operations, which include the UK, Australia, Brazil, France, Ireland, Italy, Poland, The Netherlands, New Zealand and Spain as well as launching VEVO into new territories. Prior to VEVO, he led the digital businesses for some of the world’s largest media companies. He was Chief Digital Officer at Starcom MediaVest EMEA, helping build the agency’s regional digital capability. While at Starcom, Nic was instrumental in the agency’s biggest wins of 2010: securing the GSK and Honda accounts for pan Europe.

Nic moved to London from Australia, where he pioneered digital media growth from its infancy in 1996. As Digital Chairman of the Media Federation of Australia, he was instrumental in setting up the world’s first hybrid audience measurement system that fused tagged and panel data into a resource supported by all major digital publishers.

Doug McVehil

Doug McVehil

Senior Vice President, Music Programming, Talent & Content Operations

Doug McVehil oversees VEVO’s global music programming, talent, operations and industry relations, working closely with artists, labels, managers and content owners. Prior to joining VEVO, Doug was Senior Vice President, Digital at Sony Music’s Epic Records, where he oversaw all aspects of the label’s digital marketing campaigns, artist website development and music video promotion strategies. Previously, he spent 11 years running Epic’s Video Promotion department. Prior to his tenure at Epic, Doug held posts at Atlantic Records and Endless Music. Doug has also worked in television, as a Producer and Program Director for KBDI, and in retail, as a buyer for Wax Trax Records, both in Denver where he started his career as a popular club DJ.

David Adams

David Adams

Senior Vice President, Ad Operations

David is an Operations professional with 12+ years of online media and technology experience. He joined VEVO before our 2009 launch and has been an integral link to VEVO’s growth and tremendous success. Prior to VEVO, David spent seven years at Doubleclick before joining CBS Interactive, where he played a key role in the development and execution of the March Madness on Demand program and the CBS Audience Network.
