Explizit is a man of many talents and much experience. Hailing from the streets of
Louisiana life was anything but simple for Exlizit growing up. Adopted by his aunt at the
age of 2 he knew life wouldnʼt be easy, but he embraced it. His experience comes
crashing through in his music that represents everything from hood anthems to glossy
joints for the clubs and the ladies.
Explizit is a duo threat producer and lyricist that knows exactly what he wants in the
studio. While many rappers put on a facade for a label, he can't help simply being
himself in life and in his music. He lives by a code derived partially from the streets,
partially from his childhood, and partially from his life experiences.
Songs like “Ring The Alarm” issues a stern warning to anyone he has beef with, and it
becomes very obvious through his lyrics that his beef is real, and not a fantasy dreamed
up around a conference table. “Back To The Lab” addresses rappers of all statues who
are putting out less than stellar music, and “Canʼt Stop My Flow” is the epic conclusion
that pushes the need for a major label aside to get the acclaim that he so rightfully
Explizitʼs music is captivating, and his voice has a tone that sits over almost any beat
perfectly. He will invoke emotion one way or the other, it may be love, it may be hate,
but you will feel by the time the song ends. You can feel the passion in his music, and
what he represents. His style is catchy and addicting blurring the lines between both
the education he received in the streets, military, and school.
While many rappers claim to be gangstaʼs, Explizit exudes a quiet confidence having
served in the Navy and being a real shooter. While many rappers take credit for otherʼs
work or use ghost writers to try and climb to the top, Explizit is a one man wrecking crew
creatively, producing, writing, and even design his own graphics and logos.
Louisiana has given us some of hip hopʼs greatest icons including Lil Wayne, and
Master P.....Looks like itʼs Explizitʼs turn to keep the tradition alive.
