Migos is a southern hip-hop group that was formed in 2011 in Atlanta, Georgia. Migos currently consists of Kiari Cephus, Kirshnik Ball and Quavious Marshall. Migos are best known for their collaborations with high profile artists including Justin Bieber, Drake and Wiz Khalifa. After creating two mixtapes early in their career before finally gaining some mainstream recognition when their third mixtape, "Y.R.N", was released in June 2013. The positive reviews from the music critics and the hit song "Versace" helped "Y.R.N" hit number 74 on the US R&B/Hip Hop charts. "Y.R.N" has received over 500,000 downloads, and it was named as the 3rd best mixtape of 2013 by Rolling Stone Magazine. After taking some time to collaborate with Rich the Kid, Migos would release their fourth mixtape, "No Label 2", in February 2014. The lead single, "Fight Night", would peak at number 69 in the United States. The hit song would help "No Label 2" reach 175 on the United States music charts. The mixtape also received extremely positive reviews from the music critics. Migos released their first full-length studio album, "Y.R.N. 2" in November of 2014. It was originally supposed to be another mixtape, but Migos decided to make it a studio album after writing and creating a handful of songs. Migos was nominated for three awards at the 2014 BET Hip Hop Awards. The group was nominated for Rookie of the Year, the song "Fight Night" was nominated for Best Club Banger and "No Label 2" was nominated for Best Mixtape. The future is bright for this hip-hop outfit.
