Those cheers you hear are One Direction fans celebrating. Today is the day 1D's Take Me Home album arrives. Fans have been blasting "Live While We're Young" for a few weeks now, and fervor for the other new songs is massive.
1D has made a series of behind-the-scenes videos as well, documenting the photo shoot for the album's promo materials. We wanted to make sure zealots didn't miss these.
The record has earned some strong commentary. Huffington Post says "The boys of One Direction have become more polished vocalists since the release of Up All Night allowing for a wider range of melodic styles and harmonies." Time says "Their sophomore effort shows the guys have grown up a bit and shed some of their childish ways (they were so much younger last year!)." Hitfix says "The tunes, tailor-made for the 2013 arena tour the quintet has already sold out, are slightly more sophisticated than the tracks on “Up All Night,” but to the band’s credit, they in no way attempt to leave behind the audience that made them so popular."
