During a 10-week stretch that began in October 2011, the four women in Little Mix made the dizzying transformation from aspiring solo singers to a wildly successful girl group. Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jade Thirlwall joined forces on the eighth season of ‘The X Factor’ (UK), and became the first ensemble to take the show’s top honors. Their powerful voices, dazzling dance moves, and fetching fashion choices were an irresistible combination. The 2012 ‘DNA’ debut brought their girl power to the rest of the world and things started to move quickly. A few highlights: a collaboration with Missy Elliott on “How Ya Doin’?,” touring with Demi Lovato, and headlining a sold-out show at London’s O2 Arena. Their new ‘Salute’ is a killer follow-up, blending R&B grooves with effervescent pop. Little Mix has come a long way in a very short time, and they’re aiming even higher — one career goal is to sell out Madison Square Garden: “We don’t care how long it takes, we just want to do it,” Pinnock says. “It’s a huge thing for us.” Their devoted fans — aka Mixers — are certainly going to bat for ‘em; they rallied to make the ladies the winners of Vevo’s LIFT Fan Vote competition. Prepare for exclusive interviews, profiles and performances – there’s lots of Little Mix coming your way this month.

VEVO’S LIFT program began in January of 2011 as a way of celebrating new talent. VEVO prides itself on introducing emerging artists to a broader audience, and each LIFT cycle spends an extended period of time painting a detailed portrait of its act so potential listeners will get a fuller immersion into the artist’s musical impact and cultural breadth. Through exclusive interviews, behind-the scenes footage, video premieres, and intimate live shows - all exclusive to the VEVO platform - we unite the artist and the audience.
