Biography
The Massachusetts-based All That Remains mix grindcore, metalcore, death metal, and even some good-old NWOBHM for an uncompromising, contemporary metal sound that blends melodic vocals with raw-throated screaming. Their roots lie in '90s metal band Shadows Fall, whose singer, Philip Labonte, started All That Remains in 1998 after leaving the former. All That Remains released their first album in 2002, but it was their third, The Fall of Ideals, that opened the door to the world for them; they broke into the album charts, played Ozzfest 2006, had their songs featured in films, and even made their way into the Guitar Hero II game. ~ Jim Allen
