Brooklyn-based performer Anna Wise is a gifted singer/songwriter known for her sophisticated, jazz, R&B, and hip-hop-infused pop. She formed the duo Sonnymoon with fellow Berklee School of Music classmate Dane Orr and released several albums, including 2012's Sonnymoon and 2015's Golden Age. She also worked as a member of the ensemble Built to Fade. During this period, she caught the attention of rapper Kendrick Lamar, who subsequently included her on his albums Good Kid, M.A.A.D City, and To Pimp a Butterfly, the latter of which earned her a Grammy Award for her performance on the song "These Walls." In 2016, Wise made her solo debut with EP The Feminine: Act I, followed a year later by The Feminine: Act II. ~ Matt Collar
