Punk revivalist quartet Billy Talent, after releases as Pezz, signed a deal with EMI and entered the studio in early 2003 with producer Gavin Brown. The band emerged with its eponymous debut, released in September. Before they knew it, the band had had an impressive following and a slew of Juno and MuchMusic Awards to their name. They hit the studio in February 2005 to begin work on their sophomore offering; the highly anticipated and explosive Billy Talent II appeared in June 2006. In 2007, they preserved a live performance at Düsseldorf, Germany, on CD and DVD, with 666 Live. ~ Johnny Loftus
