Formed in Portland, Oregon in 2000, Blitzen Trapper went through various genres with each record, bouncing from indie folk to art rock to experimental folk before settling into a rich, dusty brand of Neil Young-inspired alt-country. They cracked the Billboard 200 for the first time with 2008's Furr, an album that found the band boiling down its many influences into a cohesive, unique Americana sound. Released in 2013, Destroyer of the Void hit the Top 100, and 2015's All Across This Land saw them reaching for a looser live sound in the studio. ~ Kenyon Hopkin, Andrew Leahey & Marcy Donelson
