Singer/songwriter Christian Burghardt showed musical promise from a young age. While studying pre-med and playing football for Oregon State University, he was injured during a game and, while recovering in his dorm room, began to write and record songs. With his soulful voice and easy acoustic pop style, Burghardt continued writing songs and performing around the Portland area. While recovering from a second football injury, he was contacted by producer Camus Celli, who invited him to showcase for songwriter/producer Dr. Luke. He released his debut EP, Safe Place to Land, in 2014 and hit the road supporting Gavin DeGraw and Matt Nathanson. A duet single with Cady Groves called "Whiskey and Wine" followed in early 2015. ~ Timothy Monger
