Louisiana-based R&B vocalist Bryson Bernard sang at every type of venue he could, including talent shows, weddings, and funerals. He earned his performing nickname for his impressive performance of 112's song of the same title and first enjoyed airplay in 2001 with "Do Ya Thing," which appeared on his self-pressed debut the following year. His greatest success came in 2007 with "Cupid Shuffle," a certified platinum single issued through major label Atlantic. Cupid subsequently went independent, released a handful of additional albums, and auditioned on The Voice during the singing competition's third season. ~ Cyril Cordor
