A trained classical musician since the age of six, Dido first entered the world of electronic music in 1995, when she joined her brother Rollo in the trip-hop outfit Faithless. Reverence, the group's 1996 debut, sold over five million copies worldwide, and Dido went on to pursue a solo career with Arista Records. Combining elements of acoustic pop and electronica, her debut album, No Angel, became a world-wide smash, particularly after rap superstar Eminem sampled her song "Thank You" for the chorus of his hit single "Stan." Dido's long-awaited follow-up, Life for Rent, arrived in 2003. ~ Jason Ankeny
