This American guitarist and singer-songwriter was most widely renowned for his leather-clad biker image. Influenced by Steve Earle, Bruce Springsteen and the old blues masters, he specialized in a laid-back, understated approach, with fluid but economical lead guitar breaks. Signed to Epic Records, he released One Of The Boys, ably assisted by Vince Kirk (second guitar), Norman Dahlor (bass), Kurt Carow (keyboards) and Tim ‘Kix’ Kelly (drums). The album also featured guest appearances from Cyndi Lauper and Tommy Shaw (of Damn Yankees). ‘The Devil Wears Lingerie’ attracted some attention as a single, with its provocative and sordid promotional video, but it effectively marked the last sighting of the artist.
