After Las Vegas-based singer Ronnie Radke and bassist Max Green found the guitarists Bryan Money and Omar Espinosa via MySpace, they were then joined by friend Robert Ortiz on drums. By 2005, Escape The Fate won a radio contest judged by My Chemical Romance, played a show on the latter band's tour, and signed with Epitaph records, resulting in their debut EP, THERE’S NO SYMPATHY FOR THE DEAD, followed by 2006’s full-length, DYING IS YOUR LATEST FASHION. As their glam-metal-inspired scream found favor on the Warped Tour circuit, Radke got mixed up in both a murder trial and drug charges, ultimately getting kicked out of the group in 2008 and sentenced to four years in jail. Espinosa departed of his own volition and was not replaced, but Blessthefall vocalist Craig Mabbit stepped in for Radke to record the band’s follow-up LP, THIS WAR IS OURS.
