Contemporary soul singer Gerald LeVert grew up in the shadow of his father, O'Jays vocalist Eddie LeVert, Sr. Initially, he recorded with the group LeVert, scoring five number one singles and seven Top Ten singles, including the 1987 number one hit "Casanova." In 1997, he joined forces with Keith Sweat and Johnny Gill as LSG, spawning the hit single "My Body." The following year he embarked upon a solo career. In addition to his impressive string of hits, he rendered his services as songwriter, vocalist, and producer to many artists, including the O'Jays, Barry White, Stephanie Mills, Teddy Pendergrass, the Winans, and Patti Labelle. ~ Craig Lytle
