Born and raised in Nashville, singer Hillary Scott is best known as one third of Grammy-winning country trio Lady Antebellum. After cutting their teeth at local clubs, the band secured a deal with Capitol Records in 2007 and over the next several years rose to international fame thanks to their heady mix of country, rock, and R&B. As 2015 wound to a close, Lady Antebellum entered a hiatus during which Scott announced her intentions to record a faith-based solo effort with her family. Working with country and bluegrass legend Ricky Skaggs as producer, Scott recruited both her parents and her younger sister Rylee to record a set of gospel songs. The album Love Remains was released in the spring of 2016. ~ Timothy Monger
