A Detroit-based, Illinois-raised country singer/songwriter, producer, and actor, Justin Tranchita began writing his own songs at the age of 13. Drawing influences from artists like Johnny Cash, Luke Bryan, and John Fogerty, Tranchita spent the early part of his career playing in rock bands. His big break in the music business came in 2015 when Republican presidential hopeful Dr. Ben Carson began using Tranchita's rousing country-pop anthem "This Is America" as one of his campaign theme songs. The single debuted at the top of the Billboard Twitter Emerging Artists chart later that November. Tranchita is also a popular television personality, having appeared as a regular on the Discovery Channel's popular Game of Pawns program. ~ James Christopher Monger
