Formed in Tilburg, The Netherlands, and led by pianist, vocalist, and chief songwriter Jacqueline Govaert, rock/pop group Krezip went through a number of changes, both in personnel and record labels, over the course of their career, but managed to keep their heads about them enough to maintain a substantial fan base and strong record sales. Formed while the original members were still in school in 1997, Krezip played a number of festivals to build a reputation, but remained unsigned until they were picked up by Warner in 2000. Though successful, the band left the label in 2003 to join forces with Sony BMG. ~ Chris True
