An austere indie folk duo from Melbourne, Australia that fall somewhere between Nick Drake and Gillian Welch, Luluc have a long and patient history together. Singer/songwriters and musicians Zoë Randell and Steve Hassett planted the seeds for Luluc nearly a decade before their first release after meeting in Scotland. Following the death of Randell's father, she developed a set of quiet acoustic songs that would eventually feature on the duo's first album, 2008's regionally successful Dear Hamlyn. In the summer of 2014, 15 years after their first meeting and six years after their first release, Luluc made their international debut on Sub Pop with Passerby. ~ Timothy Monger
