French pop singer M. Pokora was first introduced to the public through the reality TV show Popstars. The show's producers teamed Pokora up with two other young singers to form Linkup. The group's lone album, Notre Étoile (2003), failed to achieve moderate success, and Pokora departed to record his self-titled solo album. For his second solo album, Player (2006), Pokora teamed up with Ricky Martin for the single "'It's Alright," which received wide airplay in Europe. In 2008 he teamed up with Timbaland, Ryan Leslie, and J.R. Rotem for MP3 (2008), a mostly English-language album. ~ Celeste Rhoads
