Formed in 2001, based in Lyon, and led by singer/songwriter Fabrice Mauss, French rock band Mauss made their full-length album debut in 2005 with L'Année du Chien on Mercury. While L'Année du Chien wasn't a major commercial success, it spawned a series of singles: "Cracher Mes Nerfs (L'Amour Est un Combat)," "Qu'importe," and "Te Quiero." The follow-up Aux Dernières Nouvelles (2007) was more successful, spawning the Top 40 hit single "Je Recherche," a duet with Charlie. ~ Jason Birchmeier
