Techno, house, and bass music, among other strains of underground dance music, are all fair game for Leeds, England-based producer Harry Aguis, known as Midland. Despite a varied and evolving set of interests, none of his output has sounded like the result of mere dabbling. Aguis began as a drum'n'bass and dubstep DJ and recorded shows for online station Frequency FM. As Midland, he made his production debut in 2010, the year he and Ramadanman teamed up for a 12" release on Aus Music and released the solo Play the Game through Phonica. Into the latter half of the 2010s, Aguis issued singles and EPs at a rate of roughly three a year for Aus and his own labels, Graded and Regraded. ~ Andy Kellman
