Born in Ghana in 1991, rapper Samuel Andah used Miracle as his nom de plume, referencing the fact that he was lucky to be alive following serious respiratory complications he'd experienced as a baby. After his family migrated to Australia, Andah developed a love for both punk and hip-hop during his school years, and his gateway to the latter came when he heard the music of Kanye West. Toward the end of his studies he recorded "Better Dayz," an inventive take on a popular single by the ARIA-nominated singer/songwriter Pete Murray. When the track reached over 100,000 views on YouTube, Sony took notice, signed Miracle in Australia, and "Better Dayz" became his debut single. ~ James Wilkinson
