Knxwledge and Anderson Paak are two of the major figures who emerged from Los Angeles' fertile multi-genre music community during the 2010s. Both musicians had deep backgrounds prior to the Stones Throw label's 2015 release of their first NxWorries collaborations, "Suede" and the Link Up & Suede EP. That year alone, they separately contributed to two of the year's biggest albums. Knxwledge co-produced a track off Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp a Butterfly, while Paak was heavily featured on Dr. Dre's Compton. The next year, after Knxwledge and Earl Sweatshirt issued "Balance" and Paak was heard on tracks by Kaytranada, ScHoolboy Q, and Mac Miller, Stones Throw released NxWorries' Yes Lawd! full-length. ~ Andy Kellman
