One More Time
Comprising Peter Grönwall (the son of Abba’s Benny Andersson), Nanne Nordqvist and Maria Radsten, the visual appearance of Sweden’s One More Time evoked nothing so much as a reduced Heart when they made their debut in 1992. They enjoyed immediate success not only domestically but throughout Europe when ‘Highland’, a single taken from their debut album of the same title, announced their bombastic style. It brought them a clutch of international awards, included a Group Of The Year accolade in Belgium. Grönwall, an experienced symphonic instrument musician, remains the creative power behind One More Time, although the combined harmonies of the group’s two female members are what gave Highland its immediacy.
