A rock & roll band with an ear for a good pop hook, a double dose of infectious energy, and just the right amount of attitude for a chaser, Palms are a four-piece from Sydney, Australia who have become one of the more celebrated bands on the indie scene in the Antipodes. Palms were founded in 2011 by singer and guitarist Al Grigg and drummer and backing vocalist Tom Wallace. They eventually expanded to a proper quartet and struck a deal with Spunk Records, who released their debut album, Step Brothers, in 2013. Palms signed with Ivy League Records, a subsidiary of the venerable Australian label Mushroom Records, and issued their second album, Crazy Rack, in October 2015. ~ Mark Deming
