Influenced by the sounds of classic '60s baroque pop, power pop, and new wave, Peter Bjorn and John were formed in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1999. Comprised of Peter Morén on vocals, guitar, and harmonica, Björn Yttling on vocals, bass, and keyboards, and John Eriksson on drums, percussion, and vocals, Peter Bjorn and John hit it big in 2006 with the catchy single "Young Folks," a song that propelled them into a very 2000s kind of fame that culminated in their performance of the song with Kanye West at the 2007 Way Out West Festival in Gothenburg, Sweden. They released the mostly instrumental album Seaside Rock in 2008. ~ Tim Sendra
