A Grammy-winning producer, songwriter, and artist behind a staggering quantity of R&B, rap, and pop hits, Pharrell Williams arrived at the fore of commercial music beside Neptunes partner Chad Hugo. Williams not only helped change the face of pop beginning in the late '90s, he was also one of the faces -- as a charismatic star who often stole the show when producing and/or guesting on other artists' hit singles. Williams' voice became increasingly familiar during the 2000s, providing a chorus or background vocals to hit material. Among his biggest chart-toppers were Nelly's "Hot in Herre," Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines," and his own "Happy." ~ Andy Kellman
