Named after their decision to record with the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, Berlin-based pop band Prag feature vocalist and guitarist Erik Lautenschläger (of Erik & Me) and guitarist Tom Krimi. Coming together in 2011, the pair spent a year exchanging song ideas and developing their sound, which materialized as melancholic folk-infused pop. Almost a year later, the pair recruited the talents of actress/multi-instrumentalist Nora Tschirner to complete the lineup. Prag made their debut in 2013 with first album Premiere, released via their own label, Tynská Records. They decided to meticulously write and cast a number of cinematic music videos to accompany the singles from the album, a trend they carried on with future releases. In early 2015, they followed up with their sophomore effort, No Farewell, which featured orchestral performances from the renowned Polish orchestra Sinfonietta Cracovia. That same year, Prag announced that Tschirner would be leaving the band to pursue other creative avenues. In the summer of 2017, Prag released their third record, Es war nicht so Gemeint, as a two-piece. ~ Rob Wacey & Greg Heaney
