Formed in 2012 when friends Martin Grønne (vocals, guitar), Terkel Røjle (guitar), Kristian Bønløkke (keyboards), Kristian Kyvsgaard (bass), and Simon Thoft Jensen (drums) relocated from their hometown of Silkeborg to Copenhagen, the quintet had bonded over a love of classic '60s pop and late-'80s British indie. Their self-titled debut EP was released that same year and featured the standout track "Killing Everyone That You Know." After being noticed by fellow Dane Sune Rose Wagner from The Ravonettes, the band headed to Los Angeles to record their debut album. Co-produced by Wagner and Lars Vognstrup, the album saw the band referencing the sound of The Smiths, Dusty Springfield, and the British Madchester scene from the early '90s. Released in mid-2015, the self-titled album received praise in their home country and gained the band press throughout the rest of Europe. ~ Rich Wilson
