Folk-rock singer-songwriter Xavier Rudd is the Jack Johnson of the Land Down Under. The surfer and musician plays a supremely mellow form of acoustic folk infused with various world-music instrumentation--much of which is integral to the native music of his homeland, most notably the didgeridoo. Rudd has developed a strong following thanks to relentless touring, and a live show that finds the intrepid artist himself playing all the various instruments that populate his sound. Rudd establishe enough of a following that he scored a deal with the American label Anti, which has released his albums since 2007. His 2015 album, Nanna, was mixed by the legnedary reggae engineer Errol Brown.
