Biografía
Influenced by the unpredictable rhymes of Missy Elliot along with the sexually charged attitudes of Lil' Kim and Foxy Brown, Nicki Minaj got her big breakthrough when Lil Wayne added his rhymes to her "High as a Kite" single in 2008. Her official debut album, 2010's Pink Friday, went platinum and earned a handful of Grammy nominations. An all-out media blitz followed, including her appearance with Madonna on a Super Bowl halftime show. By 2013, she had become the most-charted female rapper in the history of Billboard's singles chart. Minaj's third studio album, The Pinkprint, also performed well, thanks to a trio of hit singles: "Anaconda," "Only," and "Truffle Butter." ~ David Jeffries
